Belts are critical to powering many of your car’s critical systems. Made of rubber, they wear out and can make squealing noises, reduce comfort and functionality like air conditioning, or leave you stranded!

Your vehicle may be equipped with a serpentine (or drive) belt, fan belt, timing belt, or other belt. Drive belts transfer energy from the engine to air conditioning, power steering, and other systems directly, and to other electrical systems via the alternator. Fan belts transfer engine energy to a fan that cools the engine. The timing belt is is critical for opening and closing engine valves. , via the camshaft. Worn, stretched, cracked, or snapped belts will disable these critical systems.
